Jewish cemetery in Lelów New

Emotion / People

The new Jewish cemetery in Lelów was established in the 19th century. It had an area of about 3.6 ha and was located near the Białka River.

The cemetery was completely destroyed by the Germans during the occupation during World War II. At that time, the Germans removed the vast majority of the tombstones from it.

In 1952 the area was already used as an arable land.

Currently, as a necropolis, it is completely degraded, there is a wasteland with no material traces of the cemetery.
